The Dude
I've been listening to this guy for some time now, and learnt SO much, it amazes that so many people have not heard of this dude. It should be mandatory listening for every person on this planet who has/is: 1. Asked themselves the questions about life purpose 2. Is disatisfied with what our western society presents us through the usual routes of general media, education and pier group pressure in terms of religion, and all these other 'isms' and classifications that mold or our existence and build our ego's in this current day and age. But don't be fooled in to thinkin Alan will give you nice and comfortable answers that will let you slip back in to your little grayed-out comfort zone of knowledge and assurance about things. He will deepen your thoughts, even help crush your limiting ego and maybe help pull you from the dream-state most of us live in from day-to-day. Thus he may help prevent you from lying there on your death bed thinking that you wished your life away and didn't stop to smell the flowers. That all said, I find his voice excellent for assisting a sometimes crucial power-nap, don the headphones and 'audio player' and drift off in to a land of soothing knowledge expressed with pause, wit and question. Shame its not translated into other languages for non-english speakers? - though I think his charisma and excellent voice would be lost.Read full review »
