Wanted to love it...
Sadly, I barely like it. I’m a lifetime Alaskan, musician, and voracious consumer of all things True Crime, including podcasts aplenty. I was excited about a well-produced podcast with stories from my home state, but the more I listened, the less excited I was. There isn’t much to the story, so the narrator relies on more repetition than is necessary. He also muses way too much and there are music breaks that are way too long. 30-45 seconds of just music? Dude. No. In addition, this podcast is so heavily produced, that it is NO WONDER to me that the production is completed by a musician who also produces his own music. Eyeroll. Speaking of which, I respect musicians, and I completely understand why he used his own music, but I’m just not a fan and I wish he could have mixed it up with other music. Much room for improvement, here. I hope the next story isn’t the same.

It suppose to be a true crime story but almost all sentences begin with: “I feel...” , “I have found....” “I think....” and “I am...” it could be a lot better. A little less your own music plugging and a little more facts. It is a tragic story. Lots of love for Erins family.

Ehh
I wanted to at least like it. It was just ehh. I stopped listening after the second episode. Something about how the host uses her full name every time he mentions Erin just put me off. I get it. I know who you’re talking about. Wish there was more depth to the show.

Good job giving exposure to an unsolved missing persons case and to the sister left searching. But it was quite disappointing how the focus of every episode was on the narrator and his music. The only information presented can be found with a simple web search. And at the end, he revealed that he...Read full review »
