The presenters voice is very monotone and he comes across as disinterested. I wouldn’t recommend wasting your time listening however I would suggest doing a quick research of the case to see whether you or someone you know might be able to help!

I first listened to the 5 disappearances and really enjoyed it. Straight forward, all talk. I then started to listen to the first story about Erin and the music was bothersome. I won’t be listening to any more stories about Erin. I hope the upcoming stories will be like the latest, all talk,...Read full review »

Thrilled to not only hear coverage of the crimes we Alaskans think of so often, and of our missing fellow Alaskans and a few visitors, who simply disappear, etc… but on top of good content, the pacing, tone and cadence is perfect. Rare to find in podcasts.

You live here, but you can't even pronounce the major park in the state correctly?? This podcast is monotone and gives no useful information. I do not recommend wasting your time with this podcast. It is clearly an "investigative podcaster" who has no skills or training. He literally...Read full review »

He should have started with the phrase, there were many more leads I could have followed but they were too dark, that way I could have started listening to something else. Why investigate a murder if you aren’t willing to explore the dark side of murder. The most exciting part is when we drove...Read full review »

I enjoy podcasts that are from my home state. I recently finished Missing in Alaska about the missing congressmen from 1973. The way you describe Alaska is exact.

Over produced nobody wants to hear your guitar or music or sound effects

I like the pace of the storytelling. AK is not frenetic and I am glad this podcast is not breathless and dramatic.

You have a unique style and talent! This podcast was unlike any other in research and atmospheric moods. The speed and tone of voice, pacing of the story ideal. A quality of imbued wynnorific mystery comes not only from the story, itself, but the narrative itself carrying you along into this...Read full review »

Excellent; easy to listen to, well researched and presented. Thank you!

This was the first podcast I got fully invested in. I listened as it was coming out and relistened recently. I am so happy Erin’s story is still being told and the case is still being looked into. I’m wondering if more Alaskan Mysteries will be delved into here. Our home state of Alaska can be...Read full review »

The writer and host has a vision and memory of the times and places where this situation took place. I appreciate the honesty of the reporting, the music, and pace of which it is told. The loss never ends for those involved, which is made clear, and an important reminder to the rest of us.
hazelbnr via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 04/15/21
The music is good but it’s distracting. An interesting and sad case, but the narrator makes some really silly comments.

Pretty good pod , good story telling and facts I’ve never heard from other one off pods , worth a listen .

Thank you for investigating Erin’s story. I really liked the narration and the music.

Story is interesting but having a hard time getting past the first few episodes. Way to much music and sound effects. Music is awful.

I just got back from vacation in Alaska. I was right by the town of Girdwood on the way to Whittier. You have done an outstanding job, and I hope the case will be solved. Keep it going.
NativeArkie via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 07/06/20
You can’t have so many musical pauses in such short episodes. Narrator is more interested in how beautiful Erin was and his own musical promotional. This is an important story that got overshadowed by the narrator’s own personal issues.
deasvt via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 07/04/20
Is your music available? I was thinking I really liked it and was going to look it up but then heard you say it was all original, well done.

I enjoyed this podcast and one reason is because the investigative journalist is shedding light onto a disappearance that happened over 20 years ago. The thing with tragedy is everyone in the community surrounds the family affected and as time goes by and people forget, the family stands alone in...Read full review »

I am more creeped about that the host has some sort of weird magnetic pull to this case, specifically Erin, and the song on episode one that sounds like this is a love for him once lost. More intrigued that I’m following the host on a journey that is a personal obsession of an unresolved love...Read full review »

Just found this podcast and already love it. Music is great, not overwhelming. Keep up the good work. And stay safe.

Meh
This had the potential to be good but he failed to do any real investigating. You don’t learn any new facts or information by the end of 7 episodes. I think this was just a way for him to showcase his music in a different medium.
Shandhejisbsk87245 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 04/21/20
Listened to the whole thing, no real investigation/new info, a lot of whining about how hard it was to do the podcast, and music injected at bizarre places, as though it’s filler for too little info (later found out it was his own music, so there you have it). Skip this one, very frustrating in...Read full review »

This is a good show, well told. And the music is beautiful...but there is just too much of it.

Great podcast. Great soundtrack.

I did the whole podcast in a few hours. Wish there was more evidence. I rated and wrote to keep the light on in this missing persons case.
Lisa Maria66 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 03/29/20
Presenter fails to create real intrigue from the start or even construct a solid narrative. Interviews need serious editing as they’re very long without adding much to the story (read: waffle) and feel like padding in lieu of a progressing investigation. The music is featured abundantly and...Read full review »

Slow. Too much pointless music and not enough about the case
harv53 via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 03/10/20
This case drives me crazy because there’s just not enough information. Most of this podcast doesn’t shine light into any new info you can find it all online. I have an issue with the vendor being worried about talking more, not providing her name and her co worker not wanting to talk. What are...Read full review »

I’m so ready to hear the rest. It’s such a sad yet gripping story narrated by such an amazing voice !! Only hoping her family is able to find out what happened to her sometime in the future if not today 😕❤️

So 24 years ago the narrator saw a picture of the victim in the newspaper and he's had a hard-on for her ever since. That, plus incessant music cutaways, pretty much sums up the first half of episode one, which is as far as I could make it.Read full review »

I would honestly love to finish this podcast because the content does seem good buy the constant music breaks are a bit much.

Seventh grade podcast. What happened to EMG? Well shoot, we have no idea, a number of scenarios could have transpired. And poor Evan has to step away a few times, just too much for him.
ErnieJones via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 12/15/19
While listening to this was interesting, I feel the narrator could have touched on so many things. — why wasn’t it ever mentioned that no matter the time it was when Dave was last seen at his car or with Erin or when he was walking around Girdwood looking for his friend— it was light out! 6pm....Read full review »

As other reviewers have said, nothing happens in 7 episodes. I believe this was a podcast made to showcase his music and talk about his love of Alaska.
