“I've been listening to this podcast since its inception and listened to its (sort of) predecessor, Life in Hockeywood, before that. I've always really enjoyed the Podcast - it really offers some great insight to the team and the guys have surprisingly great access to the Kings. While I would expect these guys to be homers, they are still critical and reasonably realistic about the team. This podcast, for the Kings fan, really ranks up there with MvsW and Hockey Central at Noon. I put ATKM ahead of ESPN’s Hockey Today and The Hockey News’ THN Radio Show Podcast.
However, a couple of things have changed over the last couple of months that I really don’t care for. Please take this as constructive criticism! There was recently an episode that featured Retta which just wasn’t good. It was just a fanboy who, knowing very little about the game, seemingly got on solely based on celebrity status. I really do welcome the bandwagoners but he just wasn’t interesting. If you must have such guests, please limit it to more of an interview rather than a guest for a whole podcast. There also now seems to be a movie review segment at the end of each podcast. I listen to the podcast because of the reasons mentioned above – not for what’s available on Amazon Instant Video or Netflix. Please stick to what you’re good at; hockey!
