Gabby runs on all cylinders- she’s wicked smart, funny, and can laugh at herself (and everyone else). The music and sound effects are spot on. I absolutely love it.

Delightful and hilarious. I normally might be annoyed by a host saying “Whoops!” all the time, but not Gabby, she is perfect. I especially like the little sound effects dropped in and the theme song that sets up the mood.

Wow! I am 62 YO OG and — on paper — have nothing in common with Gabby. She’s a killer writer and comedian. Talent always shows and this pod is awesome. If you’re, like, thick - show’s probably not for you. But if you have a pulse, listen - now !! — it’s super funny.

Bizarre and funny stories about historical topics. What more could a gal ask for?

Great stories from history delivered hilariously. Gabby can always cheer me up after a tough day. I am hoping for more episodes!

This pod is hilarious! The host makes me laugh out loud every episode. I love that she tells stories about filthy American antics in a witty unapologetic way. This pod isn’t for the faint of heart, so don’t say you weren’t warned! The host is amazing, please keep up the awesome work, and the...Read full review »

Delightfully irreverent! Gabby’s writing and delivery is perfect and oh so funny. For those who care not for the colorful language, I humbly suggest that the Merriam-Webster Dictionary has a lovely definition for the word EXPLICIT.

Not a catchy review title, I know. But if you’re still here, give American Filth a listen. You’ll be hooked. It’s the best mix of history and comedy I’ve ever come across. Just don’t tell John Harvey Kellogg. I could never give up my coffee or afternoon naps. Enjoy!

I find that I’m now disappointed with all other shows if they don’t sound like they’re delivering the content in a book report aggressive monotone. My teenagers are sick of hearing me telling them about history, but will laugh along when I have this podcast on the car.

I love the comedy with history. Good company.

I LOVE this podcast. I look forward to every Thursday - a perfect way to usher in the weekend. The episode on Benjamin Franklin is my personal fav. Omg - I’ve listened to it several times. As a native of the Philadelphia area, that episode provided a side to ol’ Benjy I have never known. LOL....Read full review »

I was young in the 90’s. I also work in a restaurant, so many of my coworkers are young enough to be my child (one of them actually is my kid). Listening to this podcast reminds me of all my best days of work. The subject matter is OLD but the host gives it a fresh, hilarious spin, I LOVE it!

I really enjoy this podcast. I think the narrator does a great job and I really enjoy her their sense of humor! Keep it up!

Love the subject matter, love history with a bit of humor, but the narrator seems to be a nervous 12 year old boy giving a book report in an aggressive monotone. I say this in hopes that it’ll improve because it really is a fun podcast, but I’m afraid she’ll just obstinately double down and make...Read full review »

Most episodes are about people, places, or events that you've heard of before, but with all the parts they took out of the textbook or TV shows added back in. Gabbie tells you every detail you didn't know you wanted to hear and then some you might want to forget. This podcast is not for...Read full review »

I ADORE this podcast! It is both funny and educational; I learn something new every episode. I hope this pod stays around forever, as each week I eagerly await new episodes. This is the kind of history that I wished they taught us growing up.

This podcast was my first listen. Normally I just can’t listen to someone talking but Gabbie gives good and poignant commentary on the seedy stuff of history. It is, of course, not meant to be poignant but I think this is just what we need to know about our country right now. She’s a true...Read full review »

This shouldn’t be as informative as it is for how FILTHY it is! Hilarious and fun. It’s like combining history class with the notes carved into your desk

ugh
the soundboard and cadence of the narrator’s talking sounds like this is made for a pre-schooler. the history is cool but the jokes are so lame and trivial

I highly recommend this podcast, even if you didn’t particularly enjoy your history classes (I did not). This isn’t my typical cup of tea but I am very glad I stumbled upon it. I feel like the creator and I could be good pals as she shares my unfiltered, sense of humor. As I’m serious about History, I am “amused” by your amusing look at the dirty side of it. I look forward to hearing your take on The My Lai Massacre of 1968! U.S. Army Lieutenant Calley only spent 3 years in house arrest for that!!! Shame on America! Bleep NIXON!

This podcast reminds me of Drunk History but in the best possible way. I’m not saying that Gabby sounds drunk, but the irreverent delivery is similar. Very funny.

Great host. Her jokes and her storytelling are fantastic. I like Learning about the stuff we were not taught in school and this podcast delivers that. From gay sailors of Newport RI who caused a big stir in the 20’s to violent bare knuckle fighting in the 1700’s. This podcast uncovers histories...Read full review »
