“I love your podcast! I just have to point out that I think you are the second generation of American Girl fans. I am older than you and when I was in first grade, we only had three dolls. When Felicity was introduced, it was a HUGE deal. I went to Williamsburg for the tea party and met Valerie Tripp!! and Pleasant. Don't worry, I also wrote them letters previous to the event and have their letters back to me. And I have all the "free" gifts from the Felicity party in a box in pristine condition. Josefina and Addy are not original dolls. Yes, historic, but not original. I listened to the whole Felicity series and I'm anxious for your next review. I think it's important to point out that the original AG dolls had legit things going on in their lives. Marta (Kirstin's friend from the ship) died! Kirstin's family had to build a whole new house from trees! Samantha's parents died and she saved orphans! Molly had to eat brown bread made in a can and knit socks for soliders. These new AG dolls have ridiculous problems, by comparison. Not getting high enough grades to compete in a gymnastics competition. This is the dilemna this girl is facing?
