This is not a good podcast. This is a blatant cash grab with no substance. I enjoy all the other podcasts done by this content provider. But when there are more commercials than content i have to give this a thumbs down. Do not waste your time with this one.

The contest is fantastic. But please stop with the misappropriation and race washing through voice acting. Either make it sound accurate or leave it out. It ruins an otherwise great show.

The First Lady series has been so eye opening and informative! Humanization of these Historical Figures, allowing one to get to know them so intimately. I learned more than I thought there was to know!

In each season the series looks at one topic in US history for several episodes. The production is professional and the research seems good. As is all too common with US-based podcasts, the excellent narrative is marred by useless commercials.

Ugh!!! Please learn how to properly pronounce words, especially location names. Your podcast loses a lot of credibility when you pronounce the names of places not just badly, but down right wrong. Why is your producer and/or writer not fact checking this?! If you can’t get the pronunciation of a...Read full review »

Good content for the younger set or for those who want their history easily digestible and without controversy. But the ads! Lord! Way too many.

The production on these episodes is fantastic! I really like the way it’s written, puts you right in the middle of the story, and does a great job of illustrating different perspectives of those that were there. Seems like a lot of research goes into every episode. Lindsey Graham’s narration is...Read full review »

Well researched, entertaining, and educational. I’m enjoying all the episodes. Any plans to include a show about the Worldcom scandal?

Thanks for Season 68 on the Pinkerton Detective Agency. I didn’t know much of the history and what Allan Pinkerton was like. Nothing has changed in over 150 years. He sounds just like the 45th from New York, especially with the branding and loyalty required of his underlings. The “official line”...Read full review »

I love this show. It got me into podcasts in the first place. It’s provides an in depth analysis of events that make up American history. Many people say there are too many ads, but it’s really not much. I would advise this to anyone.

My academic background is PolySci, History, and Library and Information Science. There is no better source I’ve found for succinct, accurate, entertaining and informative storytelling of America’s important periods and personalities.

A wonderful show. I just wanted to point out one error concerning Saint John Paul 2. John Paul 2 died on April 2, 2005. You did get the canonization date right of 2014. But other than that I truly enjoy this show as I am a lover of history.

I’m a naturalized American and I love this show. I’ve learned so much about American history from it. “Imagine you’re a this”, “imagine you’re a that…” It was really disturbing to listen to the episodes of this series. Way too much identification as a method of narrative”. High production value. Decently balanced. I was looking for a good history podcast that seemed more like a history class. Love listening to this podcast! I just really wish I could opt out of the ads that are for alcohol or the stuff you’re supposed to drink before drinking alcohol so you don’t “feel terrible.” I’m a recovering alcoholic and it’s just kinda yucky to me. 😕
