“If you're a genuine AHS fan and as well, on the same extreme for your love of horror on whole, you may want to pass on this highly produced, mainstream "Afterbuzz" franchised affiliated podcast. The discussion, between the many hosts on this podcast, speak on a very elementary par. There's absolutely no recognition of the many tributes & resemblances from the entire pop culture realm that Ryan Murphy treats the dedicated fan to. Rather this discussion seems to be between a group of casual viewers... I mean this with all respect, but their reflection and observation on AHS is far from the same intellect of the fan base that Ryan, Brad, & the other writers cater to. As they
very often incorrectly comment on even the main story lines.
I prefer listening to "This American Horror Story Podcast" as it is done by two fans of the show. No professional talent for hire there. It is simply how any real fan would interact with another who loves the show as much as them. That's exactly how it feels when I tune in. Rather than detailing or recapping each weeks episodes, as this podcast seems to do. "This AHS Podcast" realizes you've watched the episode, & rather asks the questions you ask yourself. Did Fiona intentionally kill Madison? Who's the next Supreme? Theories, observations, & opinions. In the end I gave this "Afterbuzz" podcast 1 star because it does supply the demand, for any new or casual viewers...or a possibility for someone tuning in after missing an episode & wanting to be filled in...I guess.
However if you consider yourself an abnormally obsessive viewer of AHS, it may make you quite frustrated to listen to this program... as instead of sharing the love with other AHS maniacs...you'll just find yourself desperately wishing you could take the host's place as you clearly know a lot more about this show than they do, in fact you'll bang your head into a wall wondering if they actually watched AHS to begin with!”Read full review »
