A promising start - with reservations
OK two 'negatives' up front: 1. AMERICAN Innovations, uhm not so much in the case of DNA, the story starts in Eastern Europe with Mendel and then finds it's culmination in the UK with the discovery of it's structure . . . apart from Pauling at Caltech so far no American location has even been named . . . OK the human genome project was executed mostly in the US but that's just one of many AND that was mostly mechanics . . . like copying a book into another format, the process of annotating that book to make it's information useful is done all over the world. 2. Couldn't the producers at least have found a female voice actor to play the female in conversations . . . really . . . Other than that so far an enjoyable, informative and worthwile listening experience with high production values. If you are interested in the history of science (or just history) this is a good addition to your list.Read full review »

My children (7yo, 11yo, & 13yo) prefer this podcast to listening to the radio in the car and are disappointed when there isn’t a new one to listen. *Always preview the episode first. For the most part we listen to this podcast as a family.

I don’t write reviews and I’m not a science person but this show is great. The narrator has a great voice and makes this so easy to listen to. I listen to crime drama mostly but I’m hooked. Thanks Sword and scales for previewing it.
