“I’m really loving American Prodigy: Freddy Adu. It chronicles the rise and, presumably, fall of the boy who should have been America’s first soccer superstar. My favorite part so far is the disagreement over jersey numbers with Alecko Eskandarian at DC United. The best parts so far remind me of my all-time favorite soccer podcasts, American Fiasco and Throwback, which Grant Wahl did with Sports Illustrated. I wasn’t paying much attention to soccer in 2004, so I’m excited to hear what happens next.”
