Sorry to offend
Douglas Murray’s defence of the Trump Mount Rushmore was ridiculously one-sided. Above all he failed to put Trump’s speech in the wider context of the President’s behaviour in the last three years. Trump’s ignorance of American history and his lack of respect for The Constitution has created a Petri dish where “far left” ideas, which Murray so abhors, can gain credence. Up to now I’ve rather enjoyed Americano, but Freddy’s interview was very disappointing, just allowing Murray to spout his ill-thought-out views. That is until Murray was rude about people working in animal rescue at which point Freddy pushed-back, embarrassingly, because that is an area his wife works in You say be constructive in the feedback. I suggest Murray reads “Burning Down the House. Newt Gingrich the fall of the speaker” by Julian Zelizer and he might understand better that the Republicans are not entirely innocent in the culture wars.

Of all the podcasts I listened to about Super Tuesday this was by far the best. I like Freddys style of interviewing & presenting podcasts and Bill Barnard was excellent. So knowledgeable, well informed and measured.

Hmm
Don’t get me wrong this podcast gives alternative opinions, open debate and an intellectual counter arguments to mainstream media. But recently I’ve been put off by the lack of critical analysis of president trump. It’s almost painful.
