Mr.
Clueless enough to have Ann Coulter on; really egregious r/w trash. Contrary to the show’s description, it’s not really “in depth”, and seems to want to carry a recurring theme of “no collusion”. BTW, writing this review, the following text came up automatically on the screen: “Insular right wing nonsense.” (Why? This is not a reply to a previous review.) Wouldn’t have written it myself but basically agree, and it’s what you might expect from a Brit who seems to speak through his back teeth & clenched jaw. Just a cultural quirk of some in class-bound land of Brexit, I suppose. The best episode, enlivening and actually worth hearing, would be the recent one with Thomas Frank, shortly after the 2019 State of the Union speech. A peephole into the real world of history and context opened up in the thick shell of the smug Tory-ish neo-liberal world view. Other than that, predictable, tedious and disappointing, even for the Spectator, where Gray’s columns . . . appear.

Freddie is excellent and even-handed. An eclectic selection of guests, all over the political spectrum.

Podcast is of great interest to me as an Australian trying to understand American politics. Freddy interviews people with a diversity of views which is welcome. Keep up the good work.

I wanted to like this podcast because of the subject matter but the analysis lacks any sense of political objectivity. Reasoned argument, not partisan point scoring, would make this a more reliable source.
