Good but like it's, like, you know, like too much, bad grammar
I like the podcast. I've been to Berlin and find it interesting to hear their take on the city and life in Germany. There are a couple of annoyances that have to do with their speech patterns and grammar. The work "like" is part of almost EVERY sentence. Stop with the filler words. If they had a dime for every time they said "like," they would be able to pay for the podcast without taking donations. Another thing they constantly say is "Me and my (girlfriend, friend, mother, etc)" instead of "My (girlfriend, friend, mother, etc) and I." It's like nails on a chalkboard. At least they say "for me and my girlfriend" instead of "for my girlfriend and I." Also, it would be good to slow the talking down just a bit. They talk as though they're calling someone overseas back in the day when it was $$ per minute and they need to speak quickly before they're cut off because they've run out of coins to feed into the phone at the phone booth. If they spoke a little slower and were a bit more mindful of what they say, the word "like" could easily be eliminated.Read full review »

If you live abroad and/or are curious about living abroad in Germany it’s worth a listen. They’re voices don’t get annoying like some podcasts do so that’s good. Feel like you’re just hanging with friends while listening

Been looking for a current expat view of life in Germany as I prepare to transfer from Tokyo to Munich for work, and glad I found this weekly podcast. Geoff and Alex are fun to listen to, and talk about lots of great practical advice around moving to and living in Germany.

This podcast is a real treat, and helps me stay motivated with my quarantine German self-studies. If I can successfully move to Germany, I’m giving a lot of credit to these guys for...Read full review »
