Sarah Hepola is an excellent host, she had a real interest in the subject and as a listener I can feel her internal debate on loving the DCC and also finding the whole thing off putting. I share her intrigue, respect and also her uncertainty, and I thought this was a great look at the team...Read full review »

As a DCC fan, this was interesting and eye opening on some aspects. I wish a 2nd season of a “Where are they now?” would happen. Hint. Hint.

Thought provoking and riveting listening. This podcast explores the history of the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders and its evolution through the decades. I loved it!

I’ve been a Cowboys fan since the age of 5 when my family moved there. Went to 3 Cowboys games as a kid. Tom Landry went to my Church and I actually met him once. This podcast brought all of it back. I’m 51 now, but remember having the DCC posters on my wall . Thank you for making such an eye...Read full review »

This podcast is so well done. The reporter/host has a magical rapport with her interview subjects and her voice and inflection hold my interest. Bravo! Other hosts should take note…

Love this podcast! Well researched, engaging, insightful, all around great. I love the host’s perspective and her thoughtful approach. She does a great job giving the women space to tell their stories and bringing the listener in for an interesting look behind the curtain.

It just moved a bit too slow for me. Music too repetitive but most of all too much reminiscing of the early years. That’s just me though. Mildly interesting…fast forwarded through a lot.

This is a thoughtful, well-researched podcast that really complements the Netflix series.

This series in so far reaching, interesting, informative and just plain addicting!! To hear the story from the ground up is fascinating. Allllll of the guests were exceptional!! I especially loved the one about the lady that designed the cheerleaders costumes ON a “yellow legal pad”, never got...Read full review »

I was a competitive cheerleader back in the day and a watcher of the CMT DCC show. Loved this, especially the way it showcases the good, the bad and the ugly for someone who wanted to be an NFL cheerleader as a little girl.

I wanted to watch this this podcast- I wanted to see the faces of the past members that were interviewed and any of the documents or pages of the DCC handbook. I’m having a fun time listening so far, but I did find all the background music distracting. I felt relief whenever the music cut out and it was just the voices talking. I wish there was about 80% less background music.

I’ve been a big fan of DCC since season one of CMT making the team. I’m so happy to find this podcast. I love her narration and fact finding and interviews. I’ve recommended it to my friends and family who are big Dallas Cowboys football and DCC fans!

I was never a cheerleader nor wanted to be, but I love to dance and feel free and fun. I know how the girls enjoyed their work but were conned into a world to comply and not complain. Thank you for your work on this piece that sheds light on what was and hopefully not will be. Respect to each...Read full review »

This is a great podcast. It captures a slice of American history through a unique lens. It’s fun, and infuriating, and eye-opening. Sarah Hepola has done an amazing job with this story.

One of the best podcast series I’ve ever listened to. So informative and entertaining — LOVED hearing from original and current DCC girls.

Really enjoyed listening to this podcast. I never knew that the DCC had such an interesting history and hearing from alumni made it that much better! Sarah does an amazing job telling the whole story.

I heard Sarah talking about the podcast in an interview about the current Dallas Cowboys scandal based on that appearance, I knew I wanted to check this one out. It is an amazing series filled with outstanding stories and interesting facts. Easily one of my top podcasts for 2022!

Good podcast about one of the strangest phenomenon of American culture. It’s still remain mystery to me how the “religious” parents could encourage their underage daughters to dance half naked in front of a huge crowd of grown up men. I hope that cheerleading will disappear for good in the near...Read full review »

Ugh this podcast was going great until Vivian. You conveniently left out when Kelli cut Vivian that she told her she “doesn’t see a healthy reason to tell her to lose weight”. Kelli also defends (to Kitty Carter maybe? Or to another guest) during a rehearsal that Vivian can’t lose weight because...Read full review »

I loved this podcast. It would be interesting to anyone, but especially someone of my generation who watched the cheerleaders in the 70’s and 80’s. They were so iconic, a definite part of my childhood. I really loved hearing their story directly from them. Well done!

I loved this pod. I was a little girl in the 70’s and I loved the pig tailed cheerleader, Tammy. She Is THE quintessential DCC. Thank you for this perspective. Jerry Jones needs to pay these ladies a lot more-what a joke. Also, I hope noah gets his day soon.

I almost passed it by because I thought it was going to be another politicized podcast. I gave it a chance and am glad I did! I don’t even like football and I rarely listen to podcasts, but America’s Girls is so so engaging. This podcast does a wonderful job of showing the dark side of the DCC. But also they part that people love. You really understand why ladies dream of becoming a cheerleader and at the same time how they become disillusioned.
