“I very rarely write reviews, and I apologize that this one will be a little harsh. I lived in the US for over a decade, teaching politics in universities, before returning to the UK where I teach the politics A-level. So politics podcast and my bread and butter. Justin and Sarah are experienced and measured. Justin is sometimes off-base, but is admirably humble in challenging his own opinions. The podcast also gets some great guests. The problem, in my view, is Mariana Spring. I find her sections unbelievably unilluminating and have often wondered whether the BBC has signed a long contract with her that they cannot get out of. Does she have any expertise in US politics? I skip past her sections whenever she is talking. If this podcast wants to insist on having a regular section about social media, there are so many bright and savvy young people who could do this much better. Sorry!”
