Response to Ron Christie on sports
Leave it to a Republican to condemn the Players for standing up to protest the unjustified killings of black men by police as wrong because it affects the fans’ enjoyment—his pleasure, his entertainment in a pandemic! He didn’t even acknowledged the reality we are living through. I wonder if his children were threatened by police every day, as colored kids are, how different he would feel and how he would protest. It is this callousness and lack of empathy that is splitting the Republican Party and making Trumpism possible. Maria-Eugenia

I couldn’t work out what grated me about Emily. Then she lumped together ‘mad men’ with ‘stay at home mums’ in the podcast on the RNC and it all just fell into place. Sopel is balanced, easy to listen to, informative. Maitlis leaks bias without even realising it, I suspect.

Love this podcast. ok its new but its already become one of my favs. Love Emily Matlis. Makes a great team with John S.
