Going out the door
I am so excited about this podcast. I grew up on Harry Potter and love the fantasy world that reflects so much truth of the human experience. Up until about a week ago, I had never read any of the Lord of the Rings trilogy. I can remember reading the Hobbit in middle school and I remember seeing Return of the King in theaters. I've seen all the movies more than once. I was always riveted by the world of Middle Earth, but for some reason I never picked up the trilogy. I had many friends in college who were shocked that I've never read it and recently (finally) found the time to read the books. I'm almost done with Fellowship. I've loved it so much that I just had to find ways to dive deeper. I found this podcast on its first episode and I watched the extended edition of Fellowship of the Ring from 2001 today before listening to this first re-read episode. The score of the movies had me so excited and I just can't get enough of Middle Earth right now. This podcast gives me one more outlet to gush about a world I'm coming to love so much. I can't wait to continue the dangerous business of going out the door and being swept off. This podcase has already helped me to really reflect on what I have read and get me excited about what is to come. Anyone interested in Tolkien should listen, and remember, Frodo lives.Read full review »

I usually read LOTR once a year, and to have this podcast to follow along with makes it feel as though I am...Read full review »
