Hosts Jen and Jenny deliver fascinating real stories and myths from across a wide spectrum of ancient histories - they manage to be hilarious, informative, casual and at the same time delivering super well researched information about some totally fascinating, brutal and sometimes bizarre times. Like Dan Carlin, they examine history through a contemporary lense, viewing historical figures as the (often terrible) and always imperfect humans they really are and not through any kind of rose coloured glasses or stuffy, reverent classical nostalgia. I love their banter, laughter and obsession with certain characters - listening to them has made discovering ancient history a pleasure for me, and I can listen to their epic podcasts for hours.
