“I started learning about ancient history this summer with the History of Rome and was quickly captivated with the zany stories from antiquity. I appreciate the goofy banter and in-depth research on this podcast. Alaric, Galla Placidia and Germanicus are some of my favorites too! The episodes on war elephants were my favorite so far, even though they were sad. I would love to hear more episodes about ancient animals. Maybe on some of the crazy beasts from Herodotus and Pliny? More about Asia and Africa would be neat too, and about customs like the secular games and religious rites (like the Saturnalia episode).”
