Good guests, host needs practice
The guests that are on this show are interesting, but the host could really improve at actually hosting. He asks incredibly leading questions, not giving the guests much space for their responses. Sometimes it’s like he didn’t prepare so his questions are rambling. With young women artists instead of asking what got them interested in music and who their influences were/are he asks, “so what did you parents like?” Etc. I don’t think it’s intentional but those things can make it hard to get through an episode when I just want to hear the guests, not his rambling thoughts.

More reviews of And The Writer Is...with Ross Golan
I’m a podcast junkie and a songwriting junkie. This is my fix. Ross finds fascinating guests and balances America’s two biggest songwriting cities (LA and Nashville). I learn something and have my mind expanded with every episode. Ross and team, thank you!
