Not as informed or knowledgeable as other podcasters. It's more like having a conversation with your boomer conspiracy theory aunt who is actually clueless. There are much better out there.Read full review »

I just started listening recently and thought I should start at the very beginning. I thought it was a good podcast until they wanted to bring politics into it on Alexis Patterson's case. not a very good look, as a business you should keep your political parties to yourself.Read full review »

I found this podcast by searching for more info on a missing person case. Now I’m binging the episodes. A thoughtful presentation of cases.

I found this podcast late to the game and I have gone back to the beginning. Kona does fabulous research and Ethan’s participation and insights make for a great combination. They cover a wide range of cases, from well known to not as much, and are both sensitive and realistic in their reporting....Read full review »

Loving this show, Kona and Ethan have some great conversations and dive deeper into investigations in an interesting way! I enjoy their different perspectives (Kona as a true crime aficionado and Ethan as a law enforcement officer), and their banter is honestly just fun to listen to. However, I...Read full review »

If you are in the missing person community this pod is a MUST! I can’t believe I have not found this pod before esp as a advocate for the missing. These 2 both bring their individual unique perspectives on the cases which I appreciate. Working on binging all the episodes.

Why even start a podcast when the hosts don’t do any kind of research about the cases they report ? Most of their podcast is just a bunch of mismatched info gathered here and there There are more “I don’t know”, I’m not aware”, I’m not familiar”, “I’m not sure” than in a police interrogation of a...Read full review »

They could not seem less interested in the people involved in the cases they tell. Making money off missing people while getting the names of the towns wrong, making wild speculations, and taking small jabs and making jokes about other places like West Virginia or Indianapolis. It’s clear they...Read full review »

I recently found this podcast and can’t stop binging. Ethan really does ask the questions that am thinking and gets Kona to explain. It’s not too technical so it’s easy to listen to and the episodes (even the 2 part ones) are just long enough to keep you interested and engaged.

I usually tend to prefer podcasts with only one host but the format of this podcast, with one person researching and presenting the story and the other knowing nothing and reacting in real time is very engaging. Also the episodes I’ve watched all seemed well researched, respectful, and just very...Read full review »

Snarky comments about Indianapolis/Indiana and the residents is condescending and insulting. Needless to say, I stopped listening at that point. And, no, I don’t live there.

Mildly entertaining. I don’t mind the back-and-forth banter, but I prefer just the facts. I do mind the virtue signaling and general disdain for white people. It also sounds like the female host has a slight lisp or speech impediment, especially when she says words with an “L.” No judgement, just...Read full review »

Meh
The cases can be interesting, but oftentimes a rehash of the ID program “Disappeared” without any new or recent, relevant information. They seem to do very little research on geographic regions outside of their own or research in general. I particularly dislike what seems to be very little...Read full review »

Love Kona’s voice and honesty. Really interesting stories that I had never heard before, sometimes podcast just repeat and repeat stories, and this podcast does not. I had to give you guys four stars— first because the podcast is good. I enjoy your interplay and story choices. Kona has a soothing voice and shows a lot of compassion. I gave this show a chance, but the Kadin Black episode caused me to unfollow. I love the podcast overall. It is one of my favorites, and I will continue to listen for now. Used to really love this show but it seems more and more they project to create drama. Take for example Kaiden Black. I’m half way in and they keep saying the family are white saviors with sus motives because gasp…they took in their ons best friend. As if that doesn’t happen all the time

Listening to this podcast about Kadin. You speak about him as a kid! He was a adult at 19.

Every True Crime show is different and it can take a couple of episodes to “get into it”. This show is no different, don’t jump away too quickly. The storylines are all interesting and I personally like the presenters.

Kona does a wonderful job, she needs to fire her husband from the podcast. He brings nothing to the table and kills Kona’s energy.
waynelet via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 03/30/24
The hosts are too much. There’s too much nonsense, not enough substance. They rehash other, more substantive podcasts’ material with very little of their own that’s new or fresh. Their banter is painfully dull and lifeless. Hard pass.

Well-informed about the cases and present them respectfully. Thank you for not feeling you need to drink, be comedic, or have a wacky effeminate guy screaming his outrage to have a good show! One of my top three favorites.

I could listen to the host”s voice all day . I love the interaction between the husband and his commentary and questions. I think it’s a great concept and works for them ! They get right to the story and enough conversation but not too much like some other podcasts.

I actually disagree with another reviewer who said that the hosts should provide “just the facts”: I actually like the hosts’ commentary and thus speculation about what happened. I’m curious what they would think of the Kyle Fleischmann case.
