“Jon Anik, who is arguably one of the best (if not THE best) MMA play-by-play commentator(s) today and famed UFC veteran, Kenny Florian co-host this fun romp through the world of mixed martial arts with primary focus on the UFC, of course. It's a fun hour+ - the boys keep it light and entertaining. Coach Ray Longo (of Chris Weidman. Al Iaquinta, etc. fame) makes regular appearances via the phone and delivers his fun NYC/Long Island-infused take on current issues affecting the sport. Don't expect anything overly critical of the UFC: the lads (at least Jon is) are company men - not to say that they shill for their employer but they keep their comments on the organization PG-13 and I don't blame them. If you want to hear a more critical and sometimes vitriolic take of the UFC, subscribe to the weekly kvetchings / fighter interviews of Ariel Helwani's 5-hour monster podcast. (Also very good, if a little tedious and repetitive at times but i digress.) Kenny and Jon are good dudes and fun to listen to in a manageable format. Shows come out pretty quickly after fight cards so the recaps are fresh and the analysis and forecasting of future bouts is informative and mostly on point.
