It's been better...
I've been a long time listener of this podcast and throughout the past couple of years, the overall quality has suffered. The strategy conversations (both in HotW and OM) are lackluster at best, with most thoughtful players being able to reason better. Most lately, however, the podcast has been suffering from a distraction of self promotion and advertising without an increase in content. In fact, during the busiest poker season of the year, the hosts decided to record episodes in advance in order to take a vacation. I'm disappointed. I used to throughly enjoy this podcast as a regular staple in my listening diet, however, with Pokernews and Two Plus Two (amongst others), I'm left leaving listening to Ante Up as a last resort. I only leave this review with the hope that the show will make improvements to reclaim its glory. Thanks. William BeyerRead full review »
