Welcome back fam! This week we dive deep into a topic that a lot of us are familiar with. Cheating within a relationship. Whether you have cheated or have been cheated on, we all grow up and realize that infidelity is a lot more common than we thought it was when we were younger. There is an extremely high percentage of us that find ourselves in these types of situations and it's difficult to accept at times. As children we were all, in some way, served this fantasy that relationships and romance are like a Disney movie. We fall in love and live happily ever after. Unfortunately, that is not the way the real world works. Relationships are always going to get messy, so it's important that we know what we are and are not willing to accept from ourselves and others. We then go into the topic of open relationships. Did you know that millennials are ranked the highest in experimenting with open relationships? Maybe we're realizing there is more than just a monogamous type of relationship? Maybe our generation is accepting the idea that a relationship can look completely opposite from a Disney movie and still thrive? Or is the reality of how common cheating is finally setting in and we are coming to a compromise? Conversations like this are so important to us as we get older. We invest so much of our time into our personal relationships so it feels only right to explore the issues that may arise. And most importantly, learn to have the hard conversations and open mind.
