What’s the opposite of riveting?
I listen to the entire first season of this podcast, and then a huge fan of science-fiction and time travel but this story just never hooked me. Other than the protagonist, almost all of the characters sounded the same. Including those who were supposed to be 60 year old men. I imagine the entire cast of the show is in their 20s. The audio production values and sound effects were outstanding. But the story just was not compelling. I find it hard to believe that an effort to build a time travel machine merit, so relatively few resources from the government.

This hits a sweet spot of mine - time travel stories and mid-century history. It's also well written, clever and sounds great.Read full review »

An alternate history of Cold War America, where scheming government spooks meddle in time with ever-more profound consequences. Features some terrific performances, especially smart-alecky lost-in-time scientist Sally Grissom, and clever sound design flourishes that heighten the air of mystery.
