but some of the writing and acting is lacking. Seriously downplays how bad life was for women and minorities in the 1940’s in America, especially jumping from the mid 2010’s, to the point of breaking my suspension of disbelief. You don’t have to browbeat the subject, but pretending like it was...Read full review »

Incredibly well written story line with dynamic characters and sound sci-fi logic. If you like a journey that not only Kees you entertained but makes you think, this is the right show for you.
brubz02 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 08/02/20
Great on so many levels. Other reviewers have said it better. :) my ONLY criticism is that the static sounds (part of the plot) get tough on the head whilst using headphones. Definitely worth giving it a shot. I was sorry when it ended.

Ughh. This podcast is so bad! It’s constant bickering with every little story.

Reviews and recs for other sci fi podcasts are garbage by comparison to this show (many are garbage in general like vast). This is pretty brilliant.

If you love quality audio drama, this is a must-listen. The great thing about finding a brilliant podcast like this late in the day is being able to binge all three seasons in one go. Wow! What a ride it’s been! I’m so impressed by the creative brilliance of the writers, producers and performers....Read full review »

Decades from now, when hip youngens are studying the very early years of podcast serialized audio fiction, this will be one of the top 10 podcasts students are required to listen to. The writing, the voice acting, the editing, all superb. I remember feeling so dang -sad- the day the last episode...Read full review »

First, let’s be clear, this is a time travel drama. I see a lot of comments along the lines of “it doesn’t sound like 1940s.” Because Sally ISN’T from 1940. Le sigh. She can have 2020 values in 1940 because she’s from some unknown point in our future - hence the bleeping. Also, the numbers and...Read full review »

i love the characters, the story. the acting... how everything ties in together. the ending was bittersweet, but nice.
Aliyah cdjjdjfjd via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 04/11/20
After 10 minutes in, definitely done. They have no idea how to write military characters, everyone sounds like the writing project of a self satisfied, thoroughly uneducated, liberal middle schooler. Disappointing, good premise, good writing on the main character, all supporting skippable.
trewqqssdfg via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 03/29/20
It’s an okay podcast. But your politics are showing through. It’d be nice if you presented the moral argument in favour of deploying the atom bomb in wwii.
Geiendifnsllkkbdv via Apple Podcasts · Canada · 03/07/20
I listened to the first season, but I don’t think I’ll be going further. It’s entertaining, yes, but super frustrating as well - the voices are far too similar (it takes me a minute to figure out who’s talking unless there’s a context clue), and the anachronisms drove me batty (I doubt anyone...Read full review »

4 episodes in. Just the right amount of comedy and drama. The writing is good as well as the actors! Edit... How did I get the name Donnyboy 16000, who assigned that and how did they pick that? At the end of the episodes, there are numbers recited and a Tulsa weather report. What’s that about?

This is the podcast that made me love audio dramas. Ars paradoxica became the pillow I slept on every night for a month and left me dreaming of butterflies, their effects, and the hurricanes a flap of their wings can cause.

Hey, I’m thoroughly enjoying this show. Great sound design, interesting characters and a great premise. I’m only at the end of season one so I hope they are able to follow through and stick the landing. The creators should be very proud of what they’ve produced.

I’ve binged this show (and now the archives) about once a year for the last three years. The characters feel real and the narrative handles multiple timelines gracefully. The first season was definitely the better one. However, it didn’t seem like much effort was made to write period dialog. Other than the main character’s vulgarity, the dialog didn’t sound particularly 1940s. The writing seemed to get sloppier as the series progressed. There are so many side...Read full review »

I love the show. It is very funny. Also a bit shocking at times. Overall it is a great sci-fi story. The ideas on paradox are a little out dated honestly. I enjoyed the show until a couple episodes into Season 2. The Producer was boo-hoo’ing about being “inclusive” and “sensitive to gun violence”. We can’t look at or create a 1949 show through 2019 lenses. Weak. So bye.
