“There’s two qualities that make for a good host and those are being either knowledgeable or thoughtful. Lizy is knowledgeable and thoughtful, Justin is neither.
I gave this podcast a chance with the Garry Winogrand episode and within the first minute Justin insults photography as an art form by questioning if it should be considered art, a question that’s been settled for decades in the minds of galleries, museums and historians.
He tries to qualify this opinion later in the episode and further exhibits his own ignorance and contempt for the art form featured in the episode. Later calling Winogrand’s style “iPhonish” and lamenting that “everyone thinks they’re a photographer now.” I guess art accessibility is a bad thing in Justin’s mind and I can only imagine the contempt he feels towards preschools because everyone in there thinks they’re a painter.
His lack of appreciation for this subject (and ultimately his listener) along with the unnecessary f-bombs peppered throughout the episode make a very poor case for this podcast.
Lizy should do her own thing.”

“One small point, sometimes though guy must turn his head away from the microphone when he’s talking because his voice fades out, when this happens it mimics the fade out that an iPhone does when a call comes through, drives me nuts”
