“if you go into this expecting a slick, well-edited comedy show then you are going to be disappointed. But if you enjoy standup comedy clubs and open-mic nights then you'll appreciate what Herring is going for here. It's basically a shotgun comedy show. Firing out a large blast of unedited, brand new, raw material that hasn't been audience tested and seeing how it plays out. Some of it works, some of it doesn't and if you are unfamiliar with Herring or British culture your opinion will most likely fall into the latter. The parts that do work could eventually be honed into more polished routines that get taken on nationwide tours and made into TV specials. Those are the comedy shows the majority will be familiar with. If you are not interested in seeing how those types of routines begin and are not willing to accept the jokes that fall flat along the way to achieving a comedy gem, then you should probably skip this.
