funny stuff
I've been a fan since Fist of Fun and enjoy the Collings and Herrin podcasts. The great advantage of Collings and Herrin is the complete freedom to say whatever he likes, and he's taken that degree of freedom into a scripted format with As It Occurs To Me- it plays like a radio sketch/comedy show, but with all the profanity and risque comments and jokes he wouldn't get away with on air still intact- this podcast is great example of freedom of expression in comedy- it can get close to the bone, but anything potentially offensive is tongue in cheek- if youre already familiar with Herring's comedy you'll be aware of that of course! Even though I'm sure he wouldnt say no to a TV show like his ex comedy partner Stewart Lee, I personally think it wouldnt be as good as this as there would be too many guidelines to adhere to- which is why he chose this format in the first place! the 3rd episode (the latest at time of writing) is the best so far- I think it is gradually improving week on week as Richard and his team get more confiednt with the format- it is unedited so can be a little rough around the edges, but it's free for god's sake so anyone who complains about stuff like that is a fool..Read full review »

Just awful. Dragged down even further by the dreadful sidekicks. Poses no threat to the wonderful Collings & Herrin in the iTunes chart

I was blown away by the production values of this podcast. I would say its up there with the Now Show! It's unedited, uncensored bias is brilliant. I think Richard Herring is one of the funniest comics in the UK just behind Stewart Lee! And you have no idea how happy I was there was no...Read full review »
