Humorous and educational!
I’m a self-described “bad Jew”. I never had a bar mitzvah, I don’t go to temple, don’t keep kosher and I’m incredibly non-observant all around (I even celebrate Christmas!). I think this is a great podcast to help bridge the gap between secular and observant Jews. As someone who grew up in a super reform Jewish household and had few Jewish friends growing up it has been incredibly educational to hear perspectives from both Yael and Chaya Leah. I’ve come to identify more and more with being Jewish with a troubling increase in anti-Semitic and anti-Israel rhetoric. I greatly appreciate the serious analysis of people like Bari Weiss, but Yael and Chaya Leah fill another need, namely lighter and more down to earth discussions about what it means to be Jewish. I can’t wait to hear more!

It’s refreshing to hear two people who obliviously care about and enjoy each other talk about practicing faith in modern life in an open, inquisitive way, without anyone trying to convince anyone of anything or prove a point. Thank you both!
