This was a super insightful podcast with real world application. Plus, the hostess had a soothing voice and cadence. Hopefully after a hiatus all will resume. Regardless, she gives timeless advice about situations in the workplace. It’s worth a listen even now. Cheers.

Alison has a great conversational tone that makes it easy to get into the podcast, and the length is perfect. I was so bummed to hear in a recent episode that she was discontinuing the series. If you're a reader of the Ask a Manager blog, you're probably not going to discover anything...Read full review »

I found this podcast through an ad on another podcast and I’m totally hooked. Alison gives such good advice and I often find I turn to her podcast when I’m stressed about something at work for advice and reassurance. I’m sad to hear she’ll be ending the show, (maybe do just once a month haha!)...Read full review »

I really enjoy Alison’s communication style. She is always able to offer helpful advise about handling tricky work situations by approaching them with positive attitude and empathy. I wish I could give her 6 stars!

I strongly prefer the episodes where Alison talks to somebody who writes in or when she has another guests. The ones that are just spoken versions of the blog are not as fun to listen to. I prefer to read them in that context.

This podcast is the training I never received when I became a manager. Allison’s sample language and clear explanations of how our decisions, words, and tone impact others provides invaluable insight that I’ve found myself applying both personally and professionally.

Overall decent advice but definitely geared towards millennials that don’t know any better. This weeks Christmas office party episode had a couple of real doozies, especially the vegetarian that was offended by meat. WAY too many commercials in this podcast, extremely annoying.

A continuation of the popular Askamanager brand. It’s wonderful to be able to hear tone since that has always been an important part of Alison’s answers. The back and forth with letter writers is also great.

Very sound advice provided on a variety of topics. However I feel that her vocal fry is off putting. Women need to use a stronger voice in business and the workplace. Many women would be taken more seriously if they used their authentic voices.
