I love this podcast! I recently made a massive career shift (from Wall Street to wallpaper!) and your podcast has been tremendously helpful! It’s such easy listening and helps me get to speed on everything from trends to fundamentals. For your Q&A if I may— if you were to recommend a few...Read full review »

I recently discovered this podcast and have really been enjoying it -good hosts and good content. However, the editing on inserting the ads is so mind blowing in how poorly it is done. They will literally be in the middle of a sentence/word and then suddenly an ad is spliced in. When ad ends then...Read full review »

I absolutely adore this podcast! I have been an interior designer for the last 20+ years and love every moment of this creative adventure I listen to weekly. I have never missed an episode and in fact have listened to many of them several times! Your conversations make me laugh, and I’m...Read full review »

I thought you were either born with good taste or not when it comes to designing a space, because I do not naturally have a good eye. Now that my husband and I are planning a new build I’ve been listening to this podcast to learn a few things. This is is hands down my favorite design podcast. I...Read full review »

I’m so hooked on this podcast. The day it drops I make some tea and immerse myself in a mental visualization of design ideas. It has all the elements of a perfect movie….inspiration, wisdom, and some salty takes that I adore. Keep up the amazing content. Y’all are my people. With love from a...Read full review »

For an amateur design enthusiast I found many of their episodes to be engaging. I’ll admit that I’ve learned a lot, but lately I’ve grown a little tired of the topics and I’m losing patience with the hosts’ ignorance. Along with other questionable commentary my final straw came when one of the...Read full review »

I am so in love with your podcast episodes. All of them! I usually listen while I’m taking a walk. The peace and quiet outside really help me be an intentional listener. Now I’m going to your you tube videos as well. Jess, you and Suzanne make me feel good about knowing that my design style needs...Read full review »

I landed on this podcast and hoped it would provide interior design inspiration and insight. Unfortunately, I was turned off by the podcaster’s repeated use of the word ‘like.’ Using it nearly a hundred times in the first ten minutes was distracting, and it diminished their credibility.

I found Dear Alice during the isolation of Covid … as a new designer /recovering accountant, I loved listening to their take on design . Their humor and honesty just kept me waiting for the next episode. I still have a lot to learn , but in this industry… it’s not like having a work cubicle...Read full review »

If only I was as consistent in the gym as I am with listening to this podcast, I haven’t missed a week. I have recommended this podcast to all of my best friends. Dear Alice is my favorite podcast. I look forward to listening each week. At times it’s laugh-out-loud funny, and I always finish each episode knowing a bit more about design than I did when I started. I imagine it’s not easy to produce a podcast about a visual medium like design, but Dear...Read full review »

Love all the information shared and the explicit directions. Their conversation flows well and is engaging. I feel the show deserves five stars - but here are my negative critiques: the cover photo is so cute but doesn’t work for the little square on my phone - because of the dark/light contrast,...Read full review »

Show is ok, I’d like to keep listening but I don’t want to subscribe because the 2 minute trailers junk up my storage and podcast library. Show is good but we’re not dying for a sneak preview of it!

They now play about 10 mins of commercials per episode and kick off the show with 20 mins of chatter. I used to love this show but honestly I find myself skipping a lot of it nowadays. Batch work lessened my enjoyment of this podcast. it’s October and they’re recycling content from spring and summer. Five months old content in a design and trend consciousness podcast presents as stale and unexciting. If you listen each week, the catchup section from the guests feels pointless...Read full review »

Was really uncomfortable with the hosts bashing former clients’ taste and design decisions on the Toss or Keep episode. Was it necessary to cover clothing, hair and nail choices too? Laughing about it was so unprofessional. Least favorite episode by far. Cringe.

I have to agree with another review, sometimes they come across as “mean girls”. They are very contradictory. They say “do what moves you” but don’t do this because it’s awful…make your home your own and don’t worry about resale, but make sure when you renovate think about the next purchaser. Loved this episode—I learn so much from your podcast and other ID sources and then I do exactly what I want in my home. It feels better and better every year. And thank you for the reminder of 20th century vacations with the cousins—OMG that was fun, and sometimes scary! I had wild cousins. :)

this is good and informative. I bought a new house, and this podcast helped me. But the designer accents are just too much, sounds like they are trying to be so “aah dahling” pretentious. And quit saying “RAD”. It makes me cringe.

The fake posh vocal fry accents are insufferable. Not sure if they feel the need to fake them to try and fit in with high end clients… it does the opposite.

I love learning from Jess and Suzanne. They’re so fun to listen to and I’m not even an interior designer! It’s a good time! I look forward to it every week. They’re high-end designers with a high end brand with a specific style and if that isn’t your style then find a podcast that is your style!

I listen to this podcast for its comedic value. I guess it offers a few nuggets of harmless to decent design advice, but mostly it’s condescension and judgment, forgotten slang from 1990-2010, and generally out-of-touch conversation between charicatures of middle-aged white women.
