“The host was beyond annoying. She seemed extremely nervous (after years of stand up? Come on!), and said many "ums" which is very unprofessional for someone who is hosting an AUDIO podcast show. Whoever hired her needs to reevaluate their decision. For as big of a city as NY is, surely there are thousands of better candidates. The concept is ok, not as polished as Wait Wait, obviously. It's like sitting in the audience of your local pub's trivia night...without participating. (Wait Wait incorporates phone guest guesses.) Its fun, but amateur. With a better host, tighter production, etc, this could be the quiz show of a younger generation - which I believe is the pathway NPR is trying to crack.”Read full review »
