Some Promise But Room for Improvement
I had been greatly looking forward to Ask Me Another, which had been taping in Brooklyn all through last winter, and when it finally debuted a few weeks ago I was fairly impressed. The questions were fun, occasionally challenging (the "_ for the _" game was the first game in which it felt particularly difficult, but that may have been due to age), and Jonathan Coulton's music is enjoyable. However, the two main problems with the show are pretty glaring but can be fixed: Ophira Eisenberg's banter with the rotating quizmasters, which is incredibly dull, and the almost interminable length of the chat with a celebrity bit (Simon Doonan's time on the show, for example, took two whole segments and at least 15 minutes). Shorten the time with the celebrities to 6-8 minutes plus the quiz round and streamline the chat between Ophira and the questioners and you have a better show with maybe even some time for another quiz round (and thus an extra spot in Ask Me One More). Ultimately, Ask Me Another is a smart quiz show, albeit fairly light fare, not yet on par with Wait Wait Don't Tell Me but with the potential to join its pantheon.Read full review »

I think the show relies a bit too much on hipster cred. Just not very interesting.

I attended a live taping of this show as well. Lots of fun! Very entertaining. A big high-five to the musical star Jonathan Coulton!

I think the host is trying too hard and I find her very annoying. The questions to the contestants are interesting and I like the final round. ...Read full review »
