Mr. Zwelling’s contempt is palpable
I enjoy Mr. Nicholson-Smith’s commentary, which is the reason I gave this podcast three stars. Unfortunately, I find Mr. Zwelling difficult to listen to. He appears to think the “average” fan is fully represented by Jays’ Twitter. He spends a good deal of his airtime setting up straw man arguments that the “average” fan apparently fully endorses and then arrogantly dismantles them. He seems more interested in smugly correcting fans’ perceived misconceptions than educating listeners. Perhaps this Sportsnet podcast is just too pedestrian a vehicle for his vast baseball intellect. Perhaps I’m just too dumb to understand. I’m just the “average” Rogers’ customer after all.
