Anne Applebaum is so important to society
I have respected Anne Applebaum from afar mainly for her reporting and her stints in Washington Week. Her presentation as a serious minded truth seeker made me wonder if the podcast would just be a list of facts (I.e., strong on content but low on presentation). However, I was so surprised by the presentation of this podcast. It truly seeks to be engaging, complete with excellent storytelling, insightful interviews, and well placed audio soundtracks (music as well as historical clips from the news). Like the best of PBS’s Frontline, this is simultaneously informative and aesthetically engaging. I am looking forward to hearing more!
