how does this affect your reporting?

Everything they talk about on this show is a crisis. It’s overblown and meaningless.

Thanks for never disappointing. A great way to start the day.

Keeping up with the major headlines with some detail and depth is hard but Axios today totally makes this possible for me. The hosts always ask the questions to quickly get to the “how” and “why”. Very excellent!

Very informative.

Axios provides quick morning updates on the news with no bias. Best news podcast I found and I tried a lot at the beginning of the pandemic. I have been listening since the first day and never had a reason to leave. Thanks for all the great reporting!

The way this podcast is weighted and delivered is the perfect way to get the brain churning on the morning commute. I appreciate that it sits with a topic for long enough for your brain to catch up, but without laboring too long. Music is catchy too

I appreciate the clear crisp reporting of the facts behind the news you provide. Three cheers for Axios Today. I am rereading “all the presidents men” by Bernstein & Woodward. (Thank you guys) Redford/Hoffman movie, reminds how values have changed but we haven’t lost our values. Three...Read full review »

I listen ~75% of mornings for the last ~2 years. Axios does a terrible job at giving both sides a “fair shake” at an issue and I say that as someone who has never, and likely never will vote anything other than democrat. Sometimes it’s subtle but they will make a statement as if it’s a fact...Read full review »

Niala asks FAR too many leading questions of her guests. Either ask open-ended questions and trust your guests to provide insight to the listeners, or just tell the whole story yourself. Why does a guest need to be there if Niala asks a pointed question that ends “…, right?”

Axios’s news coverage is good, unfortunately their political coverage is either lacking or just downright wrong (not on opinions, but on basic facts/data). 538 provides much better political coverage. Deeply disappointed in the pod.

I live in the Midwest in the U.S. and this podcast is a great overview of the top stories that are going on around the world. I listen every morning. I also appreciate that I can reach out to Naila and the team directly. I love the familiar voice of Naila but also that she gets a break w guest...Read full review »

Awful partisan show. Completely Antiwhite.

the way news is presented by axios makes it easily digestible, the podcast is no different. i enjoy listening to it on the morning commute and staying up to date with the news. haven’t been disappointed by the knowledgeable team yet!

I have a short trip to work, and so for me, this podcast is just about the right length, and for my usual sleepy state in the morning, just about the right depth. I have mixed emotions about the soundtracks that they play with the various news stories; the music does help focus your attention,...Read full review »

I generally like axios, but 10 minute episodes don’t allow you to cover much of anything at any meaningful depth. Maybe 15-20 would be the sweet spot? The show also invariably takes the more center-left perspective on every issue.
statedept1515 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 05/31/22
Avoid this podcast if you are interested in objectivity. The host of the podcast is blatantly biased and non-objective in presenting stories and asking (leading) questions of the interviewees. She consistently presents only left wing, progressive talking points. This would be fine if Axios didn’t...Read full review »

Good, quick news update to start the day.

I appreciate Axios’ reporting on many topics\issues and enjoy their app. This audio ‘news-digest’ however, is far from impartial, covering cultural issues from a very leftist perspective and straw-manning differing views. Even ‘Morning Wire’ from the Daily Wire (which is unabashedly...Read full review »

This podcast, and axios to some extent, appear to have a beef with the progressives and it’s showing.

The worst of the worst
mr_know_it_all via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 02/16/22
It’s great to have a quick news briefing, but this podcast needs to be slightly lengthened to explore current issues more deeply. And the reporters need to stop beginning their remarks with the word “So.” So, that is my pet peeve!

Clear and concise. Like the compact version of top stories. Smart people and diverse people and topics.

Nice if someone could write the news instead of taking the news and making to hear stories encapsulate it. It ain’t you babe!

What I appreciate about Axios today is it’s tone. Even when discussing subjects that are contentious or ominous, the commitment to staying levelheaded keeps me from completely freaking out.
Madly916 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 11/30/21
I love this format and Axios does it very well. Host is engaging, featured guests are knowledgeable and diverse. Topics covered are wide-ranging and give a good overview of the news cycle.

Episodes are very short but you get an overview of the current news.
futbolista1027 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 11/30/21
I recommend this podcast all the time and I find that people get turned off by the episode titles bc they tend to think the whole episode will be about that topic only. Try: Ethiopia, historical & vegan Thanksgivings. ;)

This podcast helps me stay up to date on the news but sometimes I skip it when they delve into woke identity politics.

My go-to news source for National and world news. Easy to listen to and always current and fascinating topics.
Dream Pop Fan via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 10/15/21
Not a whole lot of fluff, just gets straight to the point. Some stories are cut short and there is a slight leftward bias but all in all this is the best daily news podcast out there.
jonny.mass.index via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 10/11/21
I like the quick and digestible episode style. I personally am not good at keeping up to date on world news and this podcast is great for keeping me apprised on current events. They are also good at putting complex and technical matters into easy to understand language.

How do you do a segment on why there is a rise in violent crime but do not even MENTION the ties to defund the police!?!?
MEalmighty via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 10/01/21
Due to Apple’s problems with podcasts, I can’t always play this podcast. When I can I listen to hear today’s news “basics”. I look forward to hearing it more regularly.
mrldg1 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 10/01/21
I usually listen to all of the new episodes as they come out. I would recommend that anyone listen to this if interested in news variety shows.
bConNation via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 09/22/21
I do enjoy the brevity of the podcast as they give a quick summary of the world’s current events. The brevity is also a double edged sword. Some stories are cut so short that you only get a couple of lines from it max from each news story. Context is quite important to give more background and...Read full review »

Sorry, but it’s a special kind of stupid, evil, or general disconnect to make an episode on the week’s climate disasters sponsored by CHEVRON. WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU AXIOS???
