Yet another vehicle for corporate ads
Was excited about this podcast - first words out of the first episode is “sponsored by Chevron”, next episode “sponsored by Facebook”, and so on. Clearly, Chevron and Facebook feel like paying for your attention is worth it to their bottom line, but that sort of up front sponsorship by corporate denizens right out of the gate tells you that this is actually intended to be a vehicle to persuade you. I’d happily pay to turn off ads forever. The amjnt of money received from this sort of marketing is fractions of pennies. My attention is valuable, and I’d prefer it not be sold. First episode also has a fake story promoting the Ford Mustang, and the next episode has a fake story prompting flip phones from Samsung and Microsoft. Unsubscribed just a few episodes in. Good luck! Let us know when you find a more reasonable and unbiased community of sponsors.
