the supplementary recovery you didn’t know you needed
i found mollie at one of my lowest points in my life *hot mess teresa* and i think the timing was more than just a coincidence. i had just been discharged from my inpatient hospital stay and was newly diagnosed with the “borderline personality disorder” label. i agree with mollie, we don’t need diagnoses to define us, AND having a diagnosis can sometimes help people in getting the appropriate supports and healing resources they need. my diagnosis of bpd helped me find the recovery resources i needed, and it’s what led me to searching instagram for bpd support which presented me with mollie back when she was “bpd tea.” mollie makes me feel less alone, especially when my life felt unstable and lonely. the community she has created and grown over the last few years shows that we are not alone. you can find that others share similar experiences as you. in addition to attending therapy, mollie’s podcasts have supplemented and supported my recovery more than words can express. one of the quotes she mentions is, “take what resonates, and leave the rest.” i know there are individuals out there who don’t agree with some of her viewpoints, but it’s just like she said: take what resonates with you, and leave the rest.
