This week in a break from the norm we took a look at the Hayao Miyazaki animated film Howl's Moving Castle. At times this film is visually stunning but as with many of Miyazaki's films sometime a little hard to follow. The story in Howl's Moving Castle is based in an alternate reality filled with wizard, witches, turnip topped scare crows and talking fire. This week we take a look at the hidden gem Wicked Little Letters. Based on the true story of a series of letters laced with profanities that were sent to various residents in the sea side town of Littlehampton in the 1920's. At the time the letters were seen as so serious that the then home secretary himself got involved. Rose Gooding was accused and convicted of sending the letters but was she the culprit? Were these letters a prelude to trolling that we all to often hear of today?!

Based around an English cutter that decides it's time to break away from the gangs using his shop as a front for money laundering. This week we take a look at the ground breaking sequel Terminator 2. Directed by James Cameron this movie had effects that were for the time ground breaking and for a while set the standard of film special effects. We also chat about the 1977 epic A Bridge Too Far. Controversial at the time the film tells the story of the failed Allied offencive Market Garden. This week we took a look at the Jordon Peele movie Nope. A film of two halves the first half being dark (visually) and a little converluted and the second half far more pacy and action packed. Don't expect this film to have you on the edge of your seat but it's worth a watch and probably a second watch to catch the things you might have missed! Telling the story of Kya a young girl living in early 1960's America and abandoned by her family she is forced to defend herself in court after being accused of murder. This week the lads take a look at the fantastic film Godzilla Minus One. If only Hollywood could make a film as fantastic as this one! The director Akashi Yamasaki should be give the reigns to all future Godzilla movies as this film blows all the previous film out of the water its that good! Godzilla done as it should be!! This week the lads took a look at two listener suggestions. The Remains of the Day (1993) which has a fantastic cast including Anthony Hopkins, Emma Thompson, Hugh Grant, Christopher Reeve, James Fox, Lena Heady to name but a few. This film is slow very slow and wasn't a favourite with a few of the lads but we all recognised its a well made film flawlessly acted. This episode the lads take a look at the 2019 film Ford v Ferrari. Based on the events in 1966 during which Ford won the 24 hour Le Mans race beating the dominant Ferrari. The film follows the relationship between Carroll Shelby, Ken Miles and the Ford company itself and whilst there's a good deal of poetic licence on offer it's a good representation of how this panned out. In this episode the lads take a look at Society of the Snow a film based on real life events and by all accounts  an accurate account of the 1972 Uruguayan flight that crashed in the Andes. The survivors had to endure 72 days of freezing conditions and a lack of food.  We also took a look at the 2016 film Wiskey Tango Foxtrot.
