“as a person who is also bad with money, i was super excited for the premiere of this podcast! i just listened to the first episode and it was amazing, right out of the gate. i had a smile on my face the entire time, even through the more emotional portions, and it was incredible to be able to just sit down and, for 30 minutes, feel like someone understands something about me that's always felt so SECRET AND PERSONAL.
the writing is great, and i love all the different glimpses gaby gives into her life (interviews with her parents and best friend, a conversation with a representative from her bank, even woman-on-the-street conversations). the sponsorship portions were done so well -- even though i don't have a need for the freshbooks service advertised in this first episode, i wish i did. aaaaand the musical cues were spot on (plus that ending theme was SO CATCHY). i'm super pumped for all the upcoming episodes. now i have something to look forward to on wednesdays!
