Fantastic research, production values to match
This has rapidly become one of my favorite podcasts. The narrative is incredibly well told, the research impeccable, and the production values are absolutely stellar. I just love moments like when the narrators says, "Listen. This is what Whitechapel sounded like in 1860." This show takes incredible advantage of the medium, rare in podcasts.Read full review »

This is such a good podcast! Hallie Rubenhold is telling a story everyone should know about since Jack’s side is all you ever hear. Plus, she’s a wonderful narrator. She is pleasant on the ears, so knowledgeable on the subject and the story is put together very well. Please listen!

I didn’t expect too much from what I think is quite a trashy title, but the podcast is really well researched and the women’s stories amongst the backdrop of Victorian east end London is fascinating.
