Once Bal Krishna and Balaram took their cattle to feed with their friends. When they went to drink water at a nearby stream, they found a big heron over there who snapped Bal Krishna in its mouth. This heron was actually a demon called Bakasura sent by Kansa. But when the heron closed his mouth, it started to burn as if it was on fire. Heron had to spit Bal Krishna out and then they started to fight physically. Eventually, Bal Krishna got hold of Bakasura's big beaks and split his body apart.
