Inspiring
It’s only fitting that the first episode I listened to was Episode 42: Unpacking the Oreo Complex. As a light skinned, mixed Black person, I have always felt excluded and ostracized by my own community which exacerbated some of my anxieties around being in Black spaces. I have recently felt compelled to get more involved and find friends who look more like me but have felt stunted by my fear of rejection as it brought up memories of being bullied and taunted in my youth for not being Black enough or for sounding or behaving “too white”. This episode was inspiring and has affirmed the pull to get more involved with my community and will help me stand tall when facing some of my fears. Thank you!!

I just found this podcast recently. I have to listen to more but I looked over the topics and I believe they are well needed for our community. Cant wait to learn and apply this in my own life rather it helps me, a friend or joining a conversation.

I have been enjoying this podcast for about a month now. Every episode has been so relevant for things I am going through in life. The guests on the show have provided valuable information and education in my career as a Social Worker. Just LOVE this podcast!
