Bald Move is rereleasing this very special pod in honor of the 40th anniversary of Return of the Jedi! Tune in and chill out to a very special episode from the Bald Move archive.
Once again commissioner Fernando Rodriguez (you may better know him as FernNYC17 on our forums) steps up with a choice selection, this time the oft maligned Return of the Jedi. Often dismissed as derivative or childish when compared to A New Hope or The Empire Strikes Back respectively, we have nothing but love for...
Fast. Furious. Fun times! Fortunately your favorite hosts had a great time at the movies, and they’re here to have a great time with you, too. For one thing, Fast X delivers on all the craziness of the Fast and Furious franchise. Flying fists, faster cars, and bombs race across the screen! Fabulous villains, now including Jason Mamoa, seek to destroy the “F” Dom cares most about; FAMILY! Finally, there are some crazy reveals in the post credits scenes.
First Run movies are coming out all...
It’s time to pull back into the back of the semi-truck and put FEENY into hiatus until it’s time for our next shadowy flight through the action TV of yesteryear. Before we go, we recap an all-time classic Knight Rider episode, the feature length season 2 premiere, “Goliath”. It’s got everything. The evil Garthe Knight, African warlords, conniving widows, menacing science montages, and Michael and KITT getting legitimately jacked up in a scene that traumatized me as a youth. Can a millennial...
The Yellowjackets reunite at Lottie’s Wellness Retreat Center, but there’s no wellness to be found. As each woman goes about her “therapy” in the present, the show takes us back to the 90s to show us why they need therapy. Misty is a lovesick murderer. Shauna has had enough of Lottie. And everyone gets suspicious about Crystal’s disappearance.

Since its release, The Matrix trilogy has influenced both entertainment and pop culture. The unconventional legacy is peppered with action, iconic characters, and that amazing 90s cyber grunge aesthetic. But above all the spectacle are the questions about human existence, free will, control, and order. Tune in to hear A.Ron and Jim’s conflicting takes.

It’s not a great movie, but it’s a great time! Is it legal? Does it make sense? Isn’t this just Karate Kid 1? How many Bonsai trees must suffer before Daniel and Mr. Miyagi repair their relationship? These are the important questions Jim and A.Ron ask each other. It’s a laugh out loud movie, and a laugh out loud podcast.
Thanks Becky for commissioning this podcast. Happy Birthday, Norm!

We left it up to listeners to guide us to the most improved THE GREATEST AMERICAN HERO episode ever, and what can I say? They rolled a natural 20 and crushed the skill check. The show writers had a lot of thoughts on Dungeons and Dragons, Satanic Panics, the Youth and Their Vidya Games. A lot of hilariously wrong thoughts, but in the best, most entertaining way possible. Grab your giant sand dial, don your best fez, and be sure to draw your destiny card because it’s time to enter the dark,...
James Gunn takes his exit from Marvel with the third installment of the Guardians of the Galaxy. The gang is back and messier than ever. Does this lovable group of space misfits have another good story to tell, or does the franchise end on a sour note? Check out Jim and A.Ron thoughts and full coverage for the Club Members! IMDB really picked a gem of an AIRWOLF episode for us this week! David Carridine? A sorta/quasi showdown with an evil Airwolf? A fiery redhead last seen doing cow math on Knight Rider? Some nice character work between Dom and String? This episode has it all, along with some terrific helicopter action sequences and pulse pounding synth holding it all together. Pure nostalgic bliss!

Rachel Bloom stars as Rebecca Bunch, a high-powered lawyer from NYC who moves to LA to rekindle an old flame. Each episode features at least two original musical numbers. It’s relatable and funny in the way it discusses mental health. Though it was one of the lowest rated shows on TV, it kept getting renewed and currently has a 98% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. It’s fair to say that it’s aged well.
Check out Rachel’s sensual, sci-fi song.
Thanks Melanie for commissioning this podcast!
What is the laundry situation? Mando and Grogu have been wearing the same clothes for three years now. Jim demands to know what Baby Yoda smells like. Someone get ready to catch him when he passes out from the fumes. Will Star Wars figure out the secret sauce for future crossovers? Will the real Gideon please show us his mustache? Catch this Season 3 catch-all episode of feedback for The Mandalorian.
And here’s the infamous Mike Dukakis tank photo.

These are the wrapup thoughts of the star-studded show, Star Trek: Picard. A.Ron and Jim’s mission: to chat about a fun show as good friends who love Star Trek. To boldly declare which moments were good, and which were nonsense!

On the second half of this season of Mr. Feeny, we’re checking out the BEST episodes of the series we’ve already seen, and this week we’re taking a second look at A-Team’s “Deadly Maneuvers”! Seems like everybody wants an arch nemesis to square off against in the 80s, and this week the A-Team is met with a B-Team assembled from the personals section of Soldier of Fortune magazine by a corrupt consortium of rich dicks who are sick of the A-Teams meddling in their affairs. You’ll never guess,...
The finale didn’t land with some critics, but Jim and A.Ron liked it! When you let go of “what could have been”, you’ll enjoy the swarms of Mandos, fight scenes, and Giancarlo Esposito. The voyage of Star Trek: Picard comes to an end. The series had the best of episodes, and the worst of episodes. But Jim and A.Ron say this finale stuck the landing. The return of the entire cast was a good burst of nostalgia and the perfect way to end the show for those diehard Trek Heads. Though the journey may end here for Captain Jean-Luc Picard, Jim and A.Ron speculate on the future storylines of some of these newer characters.
Don’t feel borged-out! Jim and A.Ron are going to beam a...
On the second half of this season of Mr. Feeny, we’re checking out the BEST episodes of the series we’ve already seen, and this week we take a second look at MACGYVER’s “The Widowmaker”, and give Jim his second crack at MR. FEENY this season! This is the episode that cements Murdock as an arch-nemesis for Mac, and we love that for him. But we’re not sure there’s enough “MacGyvering” to be had in what’s supposed to be the top episode, and we, like his close friends, missed MacGyver’s smile. Of...
Nic Cage terrorizes innocents as the notorious Dracula. And the other Nic, Nicholas Hoult, is a delightful balance as Renfield, his familiar. Awkwafina and Shoreh Aghdasloo round out the cast as they bring comedy and gravitas respectively to this cult classic in the making. It has violence, laughs, and a meaningful metaphor. Sink your teeth into this First Run Bald Movie.
Next First Run movie will be Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. III!

In the previous episode, The Mandalorian gave us a nuanced look at the consciousness of droids. In this episode, Grogu pilots a droid carcass like a mech. The horror! But that’s not the only scary thing. An old enemy sOmEhOw returns, the Double F’s have to steer this ship to line up with Episode 9, and Michael Jordan’s tequila is expensive! But one question remains, who are the spies?

You’ve heard Mary Poppins sing; “A spoonful of sugar makes the medicine go down!” Now sing along with Jim and A.Ron as they declare; “A beautiful ship makes the dumb plot line go down!” Armed with the TNG Technical Manual and decades of fanboy knowledge, your hosts try to make sense of this episode. And do fireworks work in space? There’s nothing in the manual about that…

On the second half of this season of Mr. Feeny, we’re checking out the BEST episodes of the series we’ve already seen, starting with The Dukes of Hazzard’s S04E023, “Bad Day in Hazzard”. In this one, the Duke family and the forces of Boss Hogg are held at gunpoint as part of a daring scheme to steal millions from the US Treasury. Will Jay find the heel/face team up interesting, or will the Dukes much of a muchness wear thin?

Jason from Podcastica joins Jim to discuss the latest episode of The Mandalorian. There’s battle, intrigue, and an interspecies love story! Christopher Lloyd is there to bring his old man weirdness to Star Wars, and we gotta say, it’s good to have him here. Mando and Bo explore a new world. Then Bo throws down the gauntlet to retake her fleet. It’s an eventful episode.

Step through the metaphorical door into this episode of The Podcast Maneuver. Jim and A.Ron ponder deep questions such as, what’s the deal with the middle finger? Is the Picard wine trash? And which Star Trek character has the most interesting love life? (Jim and A.Ron have everyone’s romantic history memorized…do with that information what you will.)

Our latest 80s action show selection was inspired by Jay’s hazy hotel memories of once being entertained by this show. Jay regrets this pick almost immediately, but A.Ron has flashbacks to the bitter disappointment of a misspent youth where he allowed himself to get excited for a live action superhero show on network TV. Intergenerational bonding is what we’re all about on this podcast, so we help each other through the deep hurting that is watching the adventures of Mr. Hinkley and his super...
