“The Lounge Podcast is a bi-weekly verbal menangerie, hosted by Baltimore Ravens staffers Ryan Mink & Garrett Downing, and it's fantastic. Typically posting on Tuesdays (just the duo) and Thursdays (usually adding a special guest, normally an active player or staffer) running time is about 25-45 minutes, and no topics seem off limit. As two guys provided with extensive behind-the-scenes access to the Ravens, Ryan and Garrett's conversations cover everything from player heatlh to team trends, predictions, game recaps, strategy and plenty of informed (and sometimes otherwise) opinions. Weekly guests, who have included players like Steve Smith Sr, Mike Wallace, Eric Weddle and more, seem at ease when visiting The Lounge, resulting in some amazing audio full of magical moments - highlighted by their 'storytime' segment that's become a standard of the show. Which Raven starter once threw someone through a car window?...Well, you'll have to listen to find out! 42 minutes of Steve Smith Sr streaming consciousnes or 20 minutes of Darth Sizzle?...BOTH PLEASE! Want to learn about credit card roulette? Give The Lounge a spin for a guaranteed win!
In summation, if you love all things Ravens, you've got to stop by for a visit and order up a pumpkin beer. You'll know you're in the right place when the music starts grooving and the audio starts growling (can a fan get a ringtone of this or what??), so turn the volume up and get tuned in with two guys who are totally in touch with the pulse of the team! Truly great listening - not bad considering one of them went to Ohio University.
