“This hasn’t even started yet but 5 stars to HBO for doing this. For fans of “Saving Private Ryan”, as amazing as that film was - this series, which came out about 2 years later with Spielberg/Hanks serving as EPs, is even better. The opening theme song by the late Michael Kamen can bring you to tears it’s so perfect and powerful. For fans of Damien Lewis from “Homeland” and “Billions”, I was waiting for his big break in the US a decade for so many years after his star turning performance here. Unexpected great dramatic performances from actors like Donnie Wahlberg, Ron Livingston & David Schwimmer. Even Colin Hanks in a later episode. Too many good performances to list here. “The Pacific” on HBO lacked the same level of quality because BOB set the bar so impossibly high.”

“A fascinating, probing and poignant deep dive into the iconic show. Roger Bennett is the perfect host and his deep and abiding reverence for the show and people who made it comes through in every second of every episode. When he says Flash, you’d better say Thunder and listen to the pod.
