“I can never remember your names so I simply call you "The Dynamic Duo" to friends and family. As someone who grew up in "Church" but never heard the Gospel, I had nearly thrown in the towel until an equally disgruntled friend introduced me to Martin Luther's "Commentary on the book of Galatians". To learn that Christ crucified is ALL I need day in and day out is truly the greatest news I've ever heard. My brain is still doing back flips trying to unlearn all of the garbage I was taught for all of those years. I'll be honest. I don't have a clue how to think critically. But listening to you two, Batman and Robin, banter back and forth, chewing on statements with a healthy bit of skeptisism, discerning whether or not such statements drive us to Christ and Him crucified for the forgiveness of our sins, or away from Him and to ourselves, I think, helps me get a glimpse of what critical thinking in action sounds like. “The first 150 episodes were fantastic. I always learned something about an author, a book, theology, etc. It has just turned into political diatribe. Not saying I disagree. It isn’t why I listen to podcasts. There are better political podcasts if that’s what I want. Sorry to see.”
