Great series but the Laura Miller episode drove me to distraction with her constantly referring to Slough House as “Slow House” . I cam so close to deleting the whole series just off the back of that

Thanks for making this podcast. I love hearing your and your guests’ insight into the shows. I haven’t read the books yet, but they’re in my queue! Also, a special thank you for recommending the Literally Healing Program at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. I work there and it’s dependent on...Read full review »

Love the pod and the episode breakdowns. I’ve found the guests to be up and down and was especially disappointed by the finale guest’s constant negativity.

Really fun if you love Slow Horses series and spy fiction.

Would be good to get more analysis instead of this tedious play-by-play of what happened. We already saw it, we don’t need you to walk through every scene with us! Verges on the Chris Farley SNL skit “remember when that happened? That was cool…”

Fascinating, if very brief, interview with Gary Oldman. The podcast is required listening for Slow Horses addicts.

Ok I just started listening to this after blasting through all of the books on audio. Gerard Doyle led me to the series, I’m a big fan of his after his reading of Adrian McKinty’s work. Please consider interviewing him. Also would be appreciated if you would ask your guests for additional series...Read full review »

Fantastic insightful conversation on Slow Horses.

So glad I found this! This is the kind of show you want knowledgeable people doing a podcast after every episode. It’s a rare thing where everyone in one podcast doesn’t annoy you with their voices or lack of intelligence.

Host and guests are all knowledgeable about the Mick Herron books, and have good listening voices. Fun to watch the shows, then listen to these guys!

I highly recommend this podcast for anyone who enjoys the spy and espionage genres. Mick Herron’s work is a great contemporary portal to themes and archetypes with a twist of humor, wit and fun. But what sets this podcast apart is not only the fantastic source material but the passion,...Read full review »

Jeff’s knowledge of the content and genre really shines through in all of his episodes. He’s excited and passionate about the genre and his style of conversation with the guests he had in the show is fantastic. This pod has become a must-listen for me after watching the new episodes of Slow...Read full review »

Both podcast and website are gold for someone obsessed with a new show/books.

The episode on the show with his wife as cohost was pretty slow (if sweet). Very well done podcast though. Super pro. Also: it’s “adaptation”, not “adaption”.

Good guests, fun discussion of the show. Pick up things I missed (like the ice bucket in ep3). Thanks for doing this!

This is the best podcast out there if you’re a fan of Mick Herron and his Slow Horses (Slough House) series. Jeff and his guests are entertaining and informative: all you could ask for really. Also, read the books if you haven’t already started.

Jeff’s easy manner and thoughtful analysis, combined with the input of well-qualified guests makes this the perfect accompaniment to Mick Herron’s Slough House (and adjacent) works. I’ve enjoyed listening to Jeff on Spybrary and this podcast just reaffirms he is tops in this field.

Barbican Station is a superb podcast detailing the Slough House realm. Host Jeff Quest brings on guests to dissect each novel in the series authored by Mick Herron. If you are a fan of the acerbic wit and hilariously caustic cast of characters in Slough House, this is a binge worthy podcast. ...Read full review »

What an incredible series. What brilliant plot lines and mick Herron’s comedic twists are exceptional. I can’t recommend the Slough House books more. This podcast is a great wrap up and dive into the books. Do read them before listening......big hint. Each of the guests are excellent with the...Read full review »
