I doubt anyone will know what the hell I'm talking about, but the show reminds me of the old "Ask The Manager" program on WSBK-TV back in the 70s and 80s. “Alan Schwarz is really corny in this podcast and they have a few lame gags that get really old day after day (crystal ball w/ sound effects!?!).
